About me

I blame my parents. Actually, I blame the whole of the Fischer clan.

You should blame them, too, if this page isn't what you expected.

See, my dad taught me two important things: how to figure out anything that runs on electricity and never to trust a sales pitch. Which are great things to know, but...

Everybody says my 'About Me' page must sell my services. Which is, not to put too fine a point on it, a sales pitch. Which (see above) I don't believe in.

On the other hand, I do enjoy helping others. It took me a considerable while to grasp the idea that there are people who find technology challenging or even intimidating (although being asked to teach remedial classes at University while I was still an undergraduate myself was a bit of a clue.)

What this all boils down to is: I want to help you with your problems. I really do. I'd rather enjoy giving you the odd laugh, too. So here's what you do - read my blogs. There are several things I blog about, from eBook creation to horse humour. I sell T-Shirts, too (no, I mean that. I'm not only an engineer, I'm a cartoonist as well)

I hope that my technical blogs will help you. Currently I blog about the technological aspects of eBook creation and self-publishing, the dos and don'ts of a business web site and things to do to stop you from wanting to throw your computer out the window. There may also be a blog on how to train humans, as dictated to me by my horse, in future.

If you have any comments or questions, please email me or use the comment feature of the blog (you'll need to register for that or I'll be spammed by people trying to sell inflatable mail-order brides by the dozen. Registration is completely free.) I will always do my best to answer your questions.
